Each Sunday, 24 guests are taken by snowcat to Selkirk Wilderness Skiing’s beautiful lodge situated at 1280m (4200 feet). This spacious mountain hideaway offers panoramic views of the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains with all the luxuries of home.

Each morning at SWS starts with an optional yoga/stretching class to get your muscles and body ready for an epic day of unmatched terrain and unbeatable powder. Once you have limbered up, a delicious and hearty breakfast awaits you in the dining room, giving you a chance to take in the awe-inspiring sunrise and anticipate the day that lies ahead.

Guests are then transported in comfort to the surrounding peaks to sample spectacular open bowls, delightful glades and challenging chutes. The network of snowcat roads provides skiing or snowboarding within an area of 40 sq miles (the size of Vail and Whistler/Blackcomb combined) with runs up to 4000 vertical feet. Delectable lunches, which consist of fresh deli sandwiches and tasty desserts, are served each day in the cat between runs, giving you time to get to know your fellow guests and to get ready for the next run. Depending on snow conditions, you will normally ski 12,000 to 18,000 vertical feet per day (7 - 10 runs varying in length from 1000 to 4000 vertical feet) with 2 or 3 guides per group of 12. This package also offers deep snow skiing/boarding instruction.

When it is time to return to the lodge at the end of an unforgettable day, an amazing last run lies in store that leads you through a network of glades and gullies all the way to the front porch of the lodge. Upon arrival at the SWS lodge, you are greeted with a crackling fire and delectable appetizers. 

The evening that follows at SWS is where you get a chance to truly experience the culture that defines SWS around the world. Without giving all our secrets away, let’s just say that every evening begins with a delicious and appetizing family-style dinner that is diverse enough to make any mouth water. This, of course, is followed by dessert, after dinner drinks, the retelling of the days’ deep powder runs and undoubtedly a few shenanigans are had in between. 

With advance notice, transportation is available from Nelson to Meadow Creek on Sunday afternoon and with a return to Nelson on the following Saturday morning.
